Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: March 2, 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines prohibited and restricted activities on the YokeDev platform. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
2. Prohibited Content and Activities
You may not use YokeDev to host, develop, distribute, or facilitate any of the following:
Illegal activity: Any content or activity that violates applicable law, including but not limited to fraud, identity theft, unauthorized access to computer systems, or distribution of illegal materials.
Malware and exploits: Viruses, trojans, ransomware, botnets, command-and-control servers, exploit kits, or any software designed to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
Network abuse: Port scanning, DDoS attacks, spam, phishing, traffic amplification, open proxies, or unauthorized network probing.
Cryptocurrency mining: Any form of cryptocurrency mining, including proof-of-work, proof-of-stake validation, or related computational activities.
Tor exit nodes and anonymizing proxies: Operating Tor exit relays, open VPN endpoints for traffic anonymization, or similar services.
Copyright infringement: Hosting pirated content, operating torrent trackers or seedboxes, or any activity that infringes on intellectual property rights.
Abuse material: Any content that exploits, harms, or endangers minors.
Harassment and threats: Content or services used to harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate individuals.
3. Resource Limits
Each project is allocated resources according to its plan tier. You may not attempt to exceed these limits, consume disproportionate shared resources, or interfere with other customers' services. Sustained CPU usage above 90% for extended periods may trigger automated throttling.
4. Security Requirements
You are responsible for securing your applications and managing your secrets appropriately. Do not commit secrets to version control. Use the YokeDev secrets manager for sensitive configuration. Report security vulnerabilities responsibly to security@yokedev.com.
5. AI Usage
The AI development tools provided through YokeDev's MCP integration are subject to the AI provider's terms of service (e.g., Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy for Claude). You must not use the AI tools to generate prohibited content as defined in Section 2.
6. Enforcement
YokeDev monitors for AUP violations through automated systems including resource monitoring, network analysis, and abuse reports. Upon detection of a violation:
Minor violations: You will be notified and given 24 hours to remediate.
Severe violations: Your account may be suspended immediately without notice. Illegal activity will be reported to law enforcement.
Appeals may be submitted to abuse@yokedev.com within 7 days of enforcement action.
7. Reporting
To report a violation of this AUP, contact abuse@yokedev.com.
